The Way to
“I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of
him.” (1 Samuel
This small verse
describes the events of many years ago of the well-known story of Hanna and
Samuel-the Prophet-her son, which is mentioned in the first chapter in the
book of Samuel, where it carries many important ideas and precious keys the
Lord likes to draw our attention to.
This verse describes
Hanna’s greatest testimony with the Lord throughout her life, in which she
declares the greatness of God’s hand.
Hanna is filled with
anger and pain for so many years due to her barrenness, she has been waiting
for a child for so long but nothing happens.
Now, she becomes
victorious, prided, and her smile reflects her joyfulness by her faithful
God who does marvelous deeds. The dream becomes true; she holds a real child
in her hand after carrying it in her feeble womb for many months. The child
comes forth to life challenging the reality, speaks in his silence as if
saying the dream becomes real, and the promise has been fulfilled.

Does the Impossible
Our precious Bible is filled with events and stories of great men of God
who have seen His signs and wonders in their lives, and have experienced His
liberating power and miracles of deliverance for them. The Bible also mentions
how God was able to do great things using simple, weak people, not for any merit
of their own, but just because they had true fellowship with Him, and had been
living lives of faith.
And the Bible tells us that our God has not changed with time, and He
never will, as the writer said in Hebrews: “Jesus Christ is the same
yesterday, today and forever.” (Heb. 13:8). For this, the Bible not only tells
us that all what was written in the word was written to teach and encourage us,
but also that we might live in the great experiences of faith, and see our
mighty God do for us what He did in the past, and even more.
