The way to Salvation
The way to Salvation
This article presents you the way to salvation as the word of GOD describes it in the Bible. It is surely an important message to who wonders what is the right way to live with GOD; how can I please Him? How do I start with Him? How can I have a true relationship with Him? Will I ever have my life changed?!
I pray that this article will tender answers to the questions you have, and I pray that whoever reads this message will find the way to a new life full of joy and rejoice with GOD. Therefore I ask you to send this message to the ones you know or even feel that they need it.
What Shall I do to be saved?
Quite a lot of honest hearts are asking this question after they were touched by the Holy Spirit. Consequently these hearts became seekers of the truth and they truly search for the way to establish a right relationship with GOD. This question is the same scream that once was cried out loud by the tough jailor who thrust Paul into the inner jail once the Holy Spirit touched him. (Acts 16:24-34). And so was the cry of the multitudes to Apostle Peter “Men and brethren what shall we do?” (Acts 2:37). Indeed they were wondering – struggling – about the way of salvation after they were pricked in their hearts by the Holy Spirit.
This scream was mixed up with a another man‘s shock, named Nicodemus, a righteous teacher of the Law. Who came to Jesus by night, because he was afraid of the ridicule, searching for the truth, that is when Jesus chocked him with His teaching about the massive change of the life He called: "the birth from above or the new birth of the Holy Spirit". Then Nicodemus surprisingly screamed "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? (John 3:4).
My friend, I wonder if you have the same question.
Do you look for the way but you do not know where it is? Are you too confused to decide which door you should choose? And after you got worn-out from life's burdens and its ways, do you long for a real relationship with GOD? If yes, then do not fear, you are not alone in this way, many are on the same road, just like you, looking for exactly what you are looking for.
I truly want to encourage you, do not fear, for GOD loves you so much. He looks for you and longs to meet with like you do and way even more. Therefore He would not stand still but will immediately come to you to remove every scale from your eyes so that you clearly see the way. And here He is besides you, wants to lead you by His Spirit in your way back to Him and to freshly start again. Therefore, do not miss this chance but hold on GOD.. walk with Him., do not wait for another day or another occasion .. do not allow anything whatsoever to keep you from starting today.. And now whatever your sins, weaknesses, transgressions, culture, or circumstances are He says to you; behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. (2 Corinthians 6:2)
You need a savior
" .. and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins." (Mathew 1:21)
A young man once came to Jesus and he was full of enthusiasm and sincerity to have a true relationship with GOD, so he kneeled at His feet and asked Him " Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?" (Mark 10:17) "What good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? (Mathew 19:16)
This young man was very rich and had great possessions. He observed the commands from his youth, and therefore, he was convinced that he can do any good he would be asked to do.. He thought that he can do anything to deserve the heavenly inheritances and eternal life. And that was his big mistake!! He did not realize that his enthusiasm was not enough to correct the infirmity he internally had. So Jesus had nothing to do but highlighting his weak points. He put his finger in the place of the pain, exposing his weakness which he did not notice before.
Jesus told him what meant: you love depend on your money, can you leave them and follow me, putting your trust and depend on me instead? But the young man lost his enthusiasm and strength and saw his weakness. He discovered that he inhabit things inside him that he himself can not surrender or change.. so what would he do?! He went away grieved and sorrowful.
Dear brother, this is the same mistake we do. For our deep desire to know GOD and to live with Him does not make us see our weak points, their depths inside us or the disabilities we have. On the other hand we think that we are able to change even to improve ourselves. With the help of a councilor and strict determination we will be able us to make those required changes in our behaviors.
But this is not true, for your weaknesses, transgressions and infirmities are way beyond your ability to change by your determination. They are like high mountains that makes disappoint you every time you fail to move them away or even to try to claim them. Here you might question, what can we do? Where is the way that you were talking about? My friend the very good and important news is that Jesus is not just a councilor or guide to the way or gives a map to clime the mountains, but He is the savior who lifts you up from your weaknesses and changes you life thereafter.
This young was not disappointed because of his weaknesses or richness but because he did not knew that Jesus is the savior, mighty loving GOD, all what he knew about Him was that He is a good master! Therefore he did come to Jesus confessing his sins or admitting his weaknesses but went away grieved and concentrating only on his weakness.
Listen to what Jesus answered His disciples when they asked " Who then can be saved? But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. (Mathew 19: 25-26)
Yes, Jesus gave them the answer and the way. For whatever you can not do, GOD can.. Whatever you can not deliver yourself from, God can with His strength, and because God knows this fact he wont reject you because any of your weakness or sins. For He is the only one who can do whatsoever you can not do to yourself.
Dear Brother, did you recognize now who is Jesus? And what good news the Bible delivers to you? You do not have to be disappointed by your weaknesses or infirmities. You do not have to go away grieved therefore. You do not have to keep yourself away for you think that you won't be able to change your life and live according to God's will and commands. You do need any of this for Jesus is the true savior, who stands besides you and wants to touch you with His Holy spirit in order to deliver you from your weakness, saves you from your failures and gives you a new life.
Dear Brother, do not do the same mistake this young man did before, but believe that you have a savior.. Jesus has left His throne and came down to our world not to call righteous or free people but to seek the lost sheep. He calls sinner but even the ungodly to repent and to return to Him, to receive Him as their savior and king. And He changes their lives therefore. Would you accept Him now?
At this moment and before you continue reading this example, lift up your heart to God and admit your weaknesses and infirmities.. Admit your inferiors and impurities.. And accept Him as your King and savior.. Trust in His love and be sure that He wont reject you but will hear you and accept you instead.
Nothing is like His love
"Nothing is like His love" is the greatest declaration we read in the Holy Bible. Look at Him when He declares that He is the shepherd who seeks the lost sheep. And the father who waits for his rebellious son to return from his sinner journey and how he fell on his neck, and kissed him. This son did feel rejected for he was sure of that eternal unconditional love. Despite his feeling of unworthiness, he did not think much whether his father will accept him as he is or not, if his father will restrict his return to certain conditions or not, or if he would have to do anything to please his father or not. On the contrary he was confident in his father's heart and love. And therefore he at once went to his father to find him as he expected, waiting for him. And here he is, embracing and kissing him but mostly overlooked all his past sins and the times of ignorant.
Dearly beloved, He loves with a very unique love, nothing is like it. This love makes Him searches for you when you are weak. He goes out and look for you until He finds you. His love to you is a free and unconditional love. He does not reject you in your weakness, or neglect you in your disability, absolutely not but He is passionate to you, conceals your deformations, feels for your infirmities, and once again He carries you on His shoulder.
So, today do not stay away, do not leave yourself contained by your agonies but accept His love and know that your Heavenly father will not let you down or reject you if you return to Him today.
He died for you
It was not enough for Lord Jesus to just leave His throne and come down to our world in order to find us and tell us how much GOD loves us, but He did what it is way much more than this. In spite of the greatness of the declaration Jesus delivered to us about the heavenly father and His position towards the sinners, despite the impressiveness of His healing and delivering touches to everyone He met with and despite the wonderful meetings He had with the sinners and adulterers who found peace and comfort with Him, the coming of Jesus to our world had more important motivation than all of this countless things .
Jesus was born by Virgin Mary and came to earth in the form of a human body. He became the son of man (but with no sin) in order to accomplish what we could not do. Jesus came and became a human to go by His own will to the cross to die instead of the entire humanity carrying all Godly anger and all wages of our sins which is death. Therefore the Apostle Paul clearly said; ".. Christ died for our sins .. " (1Cronthinas 15:3) and said in Hebrews ".. He by the grace of God should taste death for every man .." (Hebrews 2:9). Death was the only way to cure the problem of our sins because ".. the wages of sin is death .." (Romans 6:23) and : "without shedding of blood is no remission". (Hebrews 9:22). For so the Apostle John said; "Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood." (Revelation 1:5).
Dear Friends, I want you to know that death of Christ death was for you personally. I want you to know that His death was more than enough to deliver you from all your debts, sins' wages and punishment. His sacrifice was perfect and was of great satisfaction to the Father's heart for you. Here is what The Holy Spirit says about it; "For by one offering he has perfected for ever them that are sanctified."(Hebrews 10:14), "But by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us." (Hebrews 9:12), and "Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever lives to make intercession for them." (Hebrews 7:25).
So what shall I do now?
After all what you have read here, did you understand who is Jesus and what did He do for you? Did you really realize that He indeed did exactly what He cried out in His last words on the cross; "It is finished" (John 19:30, that He has accomplished whatsoever you need to gain a true and prefect salvation?
And now you might ask, what shall I do and how can I receive?
I would like to present to you, in simple steps, a clear way for you to return to Him to get His salvation and experience His love.
1- Return to Him (the Repentance):
Dearly beloved, the lost son has to arise and return to his father. The apostle Peter told his audience "Repent" (Acts2:38). So, what is it mean to genuinely repent?
To repent is to change your direction and return to God. Repentance is a new heart attitude that rejects the past and all its sins. It is a new attitude that wants to get back to live a straight life with the Father. Repentance is the heart's desire to forget what is behind and throw it into the depths of the sea and therefore meets with God and runs into His embraces.
My friend, He waits for you now.. Do not hesitate or postpone… Go back to Him with all your heart.. And honestly declare that you do not want to live in the past's sins and darkness but in God's righteousness and light. Come on now put your back in the face of your sins and you will find the Father facing you and opening wide His arms for with His worm welcomes.
2- Confess your Sins to Him and be washed in His blood:
Repentance is the heart attitude that refuses any sin and returns to God. Therefore repentance is always go with a sincere confession that comes out of the heart in order to uncover all your sins to God. It is a real opportunity for you to get rid of the sin burden you carry around, and to throw it away at the cross. And therefore you will see the shed blood washes you from all of your sins and carry them to throw them into the depths of the see to forget and never remember again. (Micah 7:19 & Isaiah 43:25) and then we will get what we were promised "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1John 1:9).
Come on now my friend, pour out your heart in front of Him and get rid of your disgraceful sins burden. He tells you "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Mathew 11:28). Do not be ashamed to tell Him everything. Do not keep anything from Him. Do not even try to conceal your infirmities as once tried Adam and Eve. He will not hold anything against you but will forgive you and affirm you that His precious blood has been paid for all of it. Come on and be washed in His blood and therefore He will cure your mind from all of its old sins' memories and pictures. He will remove every deep feeling of guilt that you have because of whatever shameful acts you did against Him or to the others.
3- Believe on His love and receive His salvation:
When the Philippians Jailor screamed out " What must I do to be saved" Paul's answer was very clear; "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, and your house." (Acts 16:30-31)
In that case, what does it mean to believe on the Lord Jesus?
The Apostle Johan says in his gospel: "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name" (John1:12)
From this we understand that the true believers are they who accepted Jesus into their lives. However, while there were some people who did not accept Jesus when He came down, there was on the other hand others who did accept Him and accordingly they gained the salvation and the second birth. So whoever wants to be saved has to take a specific intended step that declares to God that he opens his heart's doors to Him and accepts Him as his personal savior.
Beloved, God's salvation has to be accepted by faith in order to receive it and benefit from it. Certainly Jesus has accomplished everything for us but still – from our side – we have to open our hearts, believe on His love and His death sufficiency. You have to believe that the death of Christ was for you personally and He already made the salvation for you. You have to believe that – because of His death – you already have your salvation, became a son of God and reconciled with Him.
Did you receive the precious salvation that is, because of God's love, freely presented to you?
Do you believe on Jesus Christ and in His death sufficiency for you in order to give you a true and eternal salvation?
4- Surrender your life to Him and declare Him as your King:
Jesus came to rule and found the Kingdom of God. And whoever wants to have his perfect salvation has to declare that he accepts Jesus as a King on his heart's throne and of his life. And that is exactly what Saul, of Tarsus did when he met with Jesus on the road and his life changed onward. He kneeled down and in extreme surrendering he said " O Lord (master and king) what will you have me to do?" (Acts6:9) this is the truth that should be realized and experienced by whoever wants to return in repentance to God. Jesus Christ should be crowned a King on your heart for we must surrender our lives to Him and to His will, believing in His love and declaring that we are following Him
I pray, my friend, that now you would be kneeling before God's majesty, declaring His authority, worshiping Him for His love and announcing Him a crowned king over your life from now on.
I have received my salvation, then what!!
My friend, if you honestly took the aforementioned simple steps from all of your heart, then let me congratulate you for the very true thing that had happened in your life and more even in the heavens. Jesus said: "that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance." (Luke 15:7).
I assure you God's promise: "And him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." (John 6:37). Therefore if you came to God with all your heart then He has definitely heard your prayer, accepted you and did not reject you. You have to believe that your name has been already written in the book of the life because Lord Jesus was slain, and has redeemed you to God by His blood and therefore you will not be caste into the lake of fire (Revelation 5:9 & 20:15). You have to believe that day after day you will be watching your life changing.
And now let us have a quick review, yet organized and absolute, what we benefit by receiving God's salvation:
1- Your many sins are forgiven:
" In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace" (Ephesians 1:7)
"Having forgiven you all trespasses" (Colossians 2:13)
Dearly beloved, certainly our trespasses are forgiven besides God does not remember them any more. Surely Jesus Christ is now before the Father's throne interceding for you through His blood and sacrifice and declaring that His blood is covering all your sins. No matter your how was your past, do not be afraid from it. Do not be afraid from your long-ago sins and do not be disappointed because of the shameful mistakes you might have done for the blood of Jesus is washing you from every single sin and forgiving your trespasses. And because of His blood the heavenly Father sees you blameless and with no sin.
2- New birth and new life:
The apostle John said about who receives God by faith "Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God (John 1:13) while Apostle Peter said "according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead" (1Peter1:3) And Apostle Paul said " Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature" (2Cronthians 5:17)
Rejoice my friend from all of you heart for when you accepted Jesus as your savior and master into your life, the Holy Spirit came in you to internally operates in your inside to give you a new spiritual birth from above. Yes indeed you have been born again through the Holy Spirit and therefore you became a new person who holds a new heart. So do not be afraid, for you won't keep on your old nature because the life of the Christ has became inside you by the power of the Holy Spirit to live a new life and with a new lifestyle.
3- You have eternal life:
How wonderful is what God promised us, for after we were sinners and under condemnation, we received eternal life. And that is only by faith that Jesus Christ is the son of God. That is the reason the Apostle John clearly says: "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:15) "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."(John 3:36) and he reconfirming the meaning in: "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life" (1John 5:11-12)
Beloved, this is God's proof that He gave us eternal life in His son Jesus who died for us. And that is how whoever accepts Jesus get their eternal life instead of the eternal death. Delight and left up your songs declaring that you will not perish or die for you have eternal life.
4- You became a son who delights in his father:
Sin got us separated from God; we became enemies and strangers to Him. Except now after we are born again from the Holy Spirit, we became children of God. And that is why the Apostle Paul joyfully raises up his cheer voice saying: "wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ." (Galatians 4:7). By the power of the Holy Spirit we now have a proof inside us that we have already became children of God and now we have all the rights to call Him "Father". No more fear from now on. For we became His beloved sons, and we have the rights of the adopted children which gives us the right to draw near to Him in order to enjoy His fatherly care and love and the spiritual inheritance that we have in His son, Jesus.
My friend, you are not alone or deprived any longer, for you have a father who takes care of you. Who knows your needs and cares for justifying them. And when you worship and praise Him as your Father He will heal all your ancient feelings of loneliness and justify all of your spiritual, emotional, as well as your financial needs
If you did not accept this miraculous salvation yet, do not waste this chance. God is waiting for you, welcoming with His arms opened wide. Remember, now is the accepted time, come to Him immediately for the salvation is not so far or difficult for the mighty savior can do anything.
However, if you have already accepted His love, then delight and rejoice. Delight yourself in the abundance of life you have in Christ. Live up your days looking at Him to give you new food for every day to satisfy, encourage and keep you safe and sound throughout the way. Do not be afraid for God says "I am with you always" .. Amen
